Gautam Dhingra, CFA
Gautam Dhingra is the Founder and CEO of High Pointe Capital Management, LLC.
He developed the firm's pioneering investment approach based on the concept of Franchise Quality
which holistically integrates ESG factors. Gautam’s research interests include ESG investing and valuation of intangible assets.
Gautam holds a Ph.D. in finance, with a specialization in investments, from the University of Florida. He was a faculty member at
Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management for two years. He has also taught courses in Securities Analysis and Derivatives
at University of Florida.
Over the years, Gautam has volunteered his time to bring excellence to the investment profession though his work
with various CFA organizations. He was a member of the Board of Regents for CFA Institute’s Financial Analysts Seminar
and a Judge for the CFA Global Research Challenge. At the local level, he was the Chairman of CFA Chicago
and a member of the Board for six years.
Gautam started his career as director of investment research at Hewitt, a consulting firm specializing in working with Fortune 500 clients.
He designed Hewitt’s asset allocation and asset-liability management models. He rose to be the partner in charge
of Hewitt’s consulting for the Midwest, southwest and western United States and his clients included numerous Fortune 100 companies.
Gautam has written and published articles on various investment topics in publications such as Pension Investment Handbook,
a primer for industry professionals. He has been quoted by various media outlets including Reuters, CNN, Fox Business, BBC,
National Public Radio, and Chicago Tribune.

Christopher J. Olson, CFA
Chris Olson is a Principal and Portfolio Manager at High Pointe Capital Management. Prior to High Pointe, he was a Portfolio Manager at Columbia Wanger Asset Management in Chicago for 15 years where he managed the Columbia Acorn International Select Fund and Wanger International Fund.
Chris has devoted his career to search for overlooked and attractive investment opportunities all across the globe. He began his investment management career at Yasuda Kasai Brinson in Tokyo in 1991 and later joined the parent company, Brinson Partners, to help start the firm’s Emerging Markets investment strategy. He has lived and worked in Sweden, Japan and Taiwan. He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and has studied five other foreign languages.
Chris holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and an MA in International Studies from the School of Arts and Sciences, both at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in Political Science. Chris is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) having earned his charter in 1998 and is a member of CFA Chicago. His civic responsibilities include his role as Chairman of the Board at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago and a Trustee at Lincoln Academy in Maine.
